I'm the leader of 'the Guys Group' and i helped create our curriculum
I discovered my passion for teaching while working at a kids' performing arts studio shortly after college. From there, I launched my own business providing private, in-home music lessons and leading group classes in acting and improv. I have experience working with students of all ages and experience levels, including those on the Autism spectrum. My work includes bits of mindfulness and psychology that I have picked up over the course of my own personal growth journey. Last year I became a certified yoga instructor, which has led me further into the space of healing modalities.
I'm a mom with a growing boy and saw a need for a group like this. Welcome to my Passion Project.
I'm a photographer by trade, but an engaged parent by choice. It's one of the greatest jobs I've ever been given and I do not take it lightly. Raising a boy in this world is so wonderful, tricky and sometimes a bit daunting. About a year ago, I was looking for a social group that my then 10yr old son could join. I was hunting for a place that would let him dive into all ofIthe wonderful elements of being a boy but at the same time encouraged him to grow into the best man he could be. I discovered hundreds of groups for GIRLS, but none for boys. So, The Guys Group was born. I welcome you and your son on this journey with me and can't wait to see where this goes!
Our wish is to help young men & boys understand themselves better, become more comfortable and in-tune with their emotions, and learn how to act in ways that align with their own unique sense of integrity
